Counseling Specialties: I help people move into satisfying and rewarding careers that grow out of the most intrinsic essence of who they are.. My process incorporates a wide variety of personality/skills assessment tools such as: Myers Briggs and Strong Interest Inventory. Having made six career transitions myself - in industries including advertising, marketing, health, technology, non-profit and executive recruiting, I have an unusually in-depth understanding of occupations. Additional specialties include banking and finance, publishing and media, legal and non-profit.
Counselor Profile: I help my clients sort out, identify and think through new career possibilities, taking you through a process that integrates personality style, talents, values, interests and passions – and how to transfer your skills to new industries and fields of interest. I am able to identify career possibilities and job titles that most people don’t even know exist. I turn vague ideas into specific career titles and help people expand their range of choices. The depth of my work comes out of my own personal experience and background.
Recognized as an expert on career and workplace issues, Ms. Sharaga has delivered over 300 speeches and workshops to corporations, professional associations, alumni associations and civic groups. These include Harvard, Yale and Princeton University, The Wharton School, Association of Management Consultants, IBM, American Marketing Association, Greater New York Hospital Association, Society of Engineers, Ad Club of N.Y., Woman in Communications, NY. Psychological Association, Hall of Science Museum, Society for Marketing Professionals, Security and Exchange Commission, N.Y.Business Library, Woman’s Media Association, NY Board of Education.
Ms. Sharaga has been on the faculty of Parson’s School of Design, Long Island University, The CUNY Research Foundation, Marymount College, LaGuardia Community College, Touro College and American Women in Economic Development. As an outplacement consultant for Right Associates, she conducts and facilitates group workshops.
